A Glimpse of Thai Concept

The Philippines' contemporary scooter fans have taken a strong interest in the idea of building motorcycles with Thailandese design inspiration. One of the country's early proponents of the Thai concept, Renz Mateo, spoke about this tendency in a YouTube video. The days of referring to motorcycles with a Thai influence by words like "parang tipaklong" are long gone. Given the abundant availability of Thai parts in the market, which can be used for a variety of reasons in projects, it didn't take the Filipinos long to adopt the mindset and concept. Among Filipino motorcycle fans, especially those who adore underbones and scooters, the Thailand concept has grown incredibly popular. In fact, the word "Thai" has all but come to mean motorcycles with 17-inch rims and slick tires.

Building one requires devotion to the principle that it should at the very least mimic a drag bike's fundamentals. The common starting point is the wheel size and wheelbase, followed by the appropriate exhaustion and exact tuning. Yes, the accessories are the next step. The usage of Thai accessories seems to be unavoidable; the color gold for nuts and bolts, also known as "yayamanin bolts," unexpectedly gained popularity, and as was to be expected, new colors appeared on the market as the trend progressed.

To complement the desired build, having the appropriate exhaust pipe, brake calipers, and even Computer Numerical Cut (CNC) custom parts became essential. The aura of the motorcycle can also be significantly influenced by high-quality decals.

A complete supply of parts and accessories is not necessary to build a Thai concept motorcycle. For their motorcycles, many enthusiasts choose a subdued Thai aesthetic. In the end, the owner's preferences will determine the choice. A motorcycle is nevertheless eligible to compete in a motor show even with a modest configuration. Depending on the event's categories, a simple setup can actually win a lot of prizes or awards.

So how much does it cost to create a Thai concept setup? In order to do the arithmetic, let's simply estimate that a full turnaround setup can cost at least about the same as the price of a respectable used automobile. It can even be more than that, but even then, it would depend on personal preference, particularly in terms of brand and quality. However, because there are so many parts and styles available, customisation may also be an endless expenditure, so you must be both emotionally healthy and financially prepared for any modifications.
